Frequently asked questions
What is Cloudsnap?
Cloudsnap is an event photo sharing platform. You create a page for your event, guests upload their photos and videos with a link or QR code, and you choose what goes into the shared album.
Do guests need an app or a password?
No. Guests download nothing and create no password. They enter their email address and a 6-digit one-time code we send them, and they are in.
What does Cloudsnap cost?
Your first event is free, with 0.5 GB of storage and every feature, and no card required. Beyond that there are three paid tiers from €49 one-off plus a small yearly renewal, priced per event, with longer retention. Full detail is on the pricing page.
Are the event photos private?
Yes. Every event is private by default and does not appear in search engines unless you, as the organizer, choose to make it searchable. You control who gets in, either with an open link or with join requests you approve.
Where are the photos stored?
Exclusively on EU infrastructure, in line with GDPR. How long they stay depends on your plan: from 30 days on the free plan to 365 days on paid plans, with a 30-day grace period and a warning before anything is removed.
What files can guests upload?
JPEG, PNG and HEIC photos, which is the format iPhones produce, plus MP4 and MOV videos. The per-file limits are roughly 50 MB for photos and 1 GB for videos.
How do I control what appears in the shared album?
Every guest stays pending until you approve them. You can reject or revoke a guest, and take down any photo, or switch on auto-approve for your event so uploads appear as they arrive.
